Swagbucks Overview
So, I've been under a rock…or a coupon binder or something :-) I have seen soooo many people talking about Swag Bucks but never joined until I saw where Carrie earned $70/week in gift cards and it got my attention!
Swag Bucks – Search and Earn
So, I'm here to tell you about Swag Bucks? What is it, you ask? Well, it's simply a site that pays you to search the internet. Easy enough! Each time you do a search, you have an opportunity to earn a swag buck. Those can be exchanged for prizes and fun stuff! I actually just set Swag Bucks as my home page so I can immediately search for stuff and earn some swag bucks!
Where to find Swag Codes
You can also earn Swag Bucks through Swag Codes. These are codes that you find on either Swag Bucks blog, Facebook Page or Twitter. Sometimes bloggers get unique codes for our readers too. With these Swag Codes, you earn Swag Bucks without searching. You enter these Swag Codes on your account page at Swag Bucks. Usually they are valid for 1 Swag Buck, but I have found codes good for 3 Swag Bucks before too!
Also, if you want to earn yourself, I HIGHLY recommend loading the Swag Bucks Toolbar! This toolbar is so nice to have in your menu bar. When you want to do a quick search, you search in the Swag Bucks Toolbar versus the other ones you may not be rewarded with (i.e., Google or Yahoo).
Referrals
Swag Bucks also has a referral program. For each person who signs up under your referral link (or email address), you will receive a Swag Buck every time they earn one, up to 100 Swag Bucks! So, when they have earned 100 Swag Bucks, you no longer receive any of their search Swag Bucks credits. I love this referral program and think it's one of the best for friends to refer each other!
So, if you're interested in this program, you can sign up for Swag Bucks here. I think this will be a slow earner. On an average week of searches, I earn around 20 – 30 Swag Bucks. It will be a good thing to have ready to cash out here and there to hold onto for Christmas! You can't have too much for that!!
Speaking of Christmas, be sure to check out all of the surveys I currently do here. I am letting as many accounts accumulate so I can have a nice little payday at Christmas!
I do a lot of surveys, too, and am a new member of Swagbucks. I love your idea! I never thought to just let all of my survey rewards stack up until Christmas. I just might do the same!
I love Swag Bucks! I currently have 159 Bucks. The only thing is I don’t earn Swag Bucks from every search. They just randomly show up as I’m searching. Some days I don’t get any.
It is really worth it though.
Oh, I love Swagbucks! I’m saving up for a grain mill on Amazon.com!
Man, its like you read my mind. I had just seen them on Twitter today and was trying to figure them out. It’s crazy that you happened to write about this today!
I love Swagbucks!! It’s actually a pretty quick earner compared to many of the other sites I use. (MyPoints, etc.) I get at least a point every day, and it doesn’t take too many points to earn giftcards.
So, is there some catch to it? I’ve never heard of it, but might have to check it out. Do you get points for referring people?
Marcia – yes, you do get points for referrals. But, right off the top of my head, I’m not sure how many. HTH!
Ok…well, when I sign up, I’ll list your name as the reference. How are you listed or do you want to email the info to me. My email addy is [email protected].
This sounds almost too good to be true. But, if it is, I’m in!!
Marcia – thanks!!! You can actually just click on the links in the post and it takes you as my referral that way :-)
so can you only do this on one computer or can you log on from other computers .. i do tons of searching with my job, not sure that they would count but if i could log on there it might be worth it
chanin
Chanin – you can do it on any computer!! You just login to your account from wherever and start searching! It sounds like you can be making a lot if you’re doing lots of searches for work!
I’d love to earn money just surfing the net! But, it sounds a little suspicious to me… spyware maybe? Key logging? Or am I misinterpretting? They monitor your searches so I’m not sure I’d want an unknown having access to personal computer…
Cathy, it’s all legit! No spyware or anything annoying like that – I wouldn’t share it if that were the case. I’ve had no problems whatsoever…actually, only raves since I’ve cashed in swagbucks for over $100 in Amazon gift cards!
I am sounding like a novice here, but swagbucks is asking for a hidden code to enter. I can’t find one on my screen. Can anyone help? Thanks,
Cheryl
Cheryl – there are sometimes hidden codes around the internet. When I know about them, I try to post them here. So, for just joining I believe you get 3 swagbucks. And, when you find another code then you enter in that spot. HTH!
where to find all these swagbucks
I’ve found I don’t get very many Swagbucks just doing searches, so I also do the daily poll, watch videos, and play games. I play enough computer games anyway…might as well be doing it in exchange for a gift card! :)
Anna, good suggestion on the other stuff too! I completely agree – may as well let your “fun” earn you something!
anyone know any working swagcodes??
