St. Patty’s Day DIY: Yummy Pot O’ Gold Centerpiece
I like to host our monthly Bunco Night around St. Patrick’s day and Christmas so I can deck the whole place out in holiday —sometimes cheesy—décor! I needed a cute centerpiece for the table sand thought of this INSANELY EASY project. Luckily for me, the next day is our snack day at my daughter’s preschool and the little ones can tear through! Now, it is your turn to put your own creative twist on St. Patty’s day.
Pot O' Gold Supplies
:: Large Bag of M&M’s
:: Chocolate Gold Coins
:: Fancy Bowl/Jar
:: Scrapbook Paper
DIY Steps
{Step 1} Separate the M&M’s into color coded piles. I had my 4yr old do this to pass the time…she LOVED helping!
{Step 2} Start layering your “rainbow” of M&M’s in your bowl.
{Step 3} Squeeze some gold coins on top.
{Step 4} Add a little “luck” sign to showcase a St. Patty’s day tradition. I used the Cricut machine…a definite must have ;)
Project Cost
The total cost is around $5. You can pick up M&M's for $3-$4 per bag – check for M&M's Coupon to save even more! The chocolate gold coins are around $1 (even cheaper after holidays like Christmas). A yummy project to enjoy with the kids..or your friends :)
