CopyCat Recipe: Febreze Solution Spray

I cannot stand the smell of a stale house  and opening the windows are not an option with my family's allergies. I have a dirty little secret of using fabric refresher on just about anything that is not a hard surface. I found this recipe and just love the clean laundry smell that now lingers throughout the house!

Copy Cat Febreze Solution Supplies

:: 1/8 cup of Liquid Fabric Softener
:: 2 TBS of Baking Soda
:: Hot tap water
:: Empty Febreze Bottle or any Spray Bottle

DIY Steps

{Step 1} Pour the fabric softener into the empty spray bottle.

{Step 2} Add baking soda.

{Step 3} Fill with bottle with HOT tap water and shake gently.

Project Cost

This recipe for the copycat version will cost you around $0.20 for the entire bottle instead of  buying Febreze brand at the store for just over $5.00. You can still save with a good sale along with coupons but you will not be able to beat the cost of doing it yourself.  Not to mention, you can choose your favorite fragrance.

  1. Works great. Saving so much money as I live in a small town in Alaska and a bottle is almost $25.
