Grow Savings from your Garden
The following Best Savings Tip comes from reader, Alison:
Fruits and vegetables can be so expensive, especially organics. Planting a garden can be a great way to save on the produce portion of your grocery bill.
There is so much information online to help with this task including what grows best in your area, what soil to use, when the best time to plant is, spacing and much more (check out this gardening how-to and how to make a compost bin). Gardening can be great fun, and a wonderful project the whole family can enjoy!
Estimated savings depends on what you plant and how much. We save $50-100 a year with our small easy to manage garden.

Did you put in a garden this year? What did you plant? We have zero shade so nothing ever survives. I would love to have my own veggies instead of buying them!
