Princess Edible Cookie Wand

My little girls love ANYTHING and EVERYTHING princesses. I decided to bake something to keep their attention for more than 5 minutes before the dreaded hour before Daddy arrives home. I must say…it worked! Adorable wands were twirling around outside as they became sugar princesses!

Edible Cookie Wand Supplies

:: Sugar Cookie Dough (or the supplies to make it)
:: Star Shaped Cookie Cutter
:: Bamboo Skewers
:: White Frosting
:: Glitter/Sprinkles

DIY Steps

{Step 1} Preheat oven to the recommended temperature. Roll out the cookie dough on a lightly floured surface to about 1/8inch thickness. Cut out the stars.

{Step 2} Place half the stars onto the cookie sheet and press the skewer into each cookie. Top the remaining stars so that the skewers are sandwiched in between them.

{Step 3} Bake the cookies for about 10minutes, or until lightly golden.

{Step 4} Once they are cooled, decorate as you would like!

Project Cost

You can find most of the supplies around the house or in your pantry. You can use your own sugar cookie recipe or the handy dandy ready made type as well! Those can be found for as low as $1.00 when they are on sale and stacked with a coupon.

This is a really fun project to do with the kids and would be cute for an afternoon treat for a playdate.  Also, a great party favor for a birthday party but you may want to do these outside to avoid cookie crumbles!
