How to Make Buffalo Chicken Sliders from Scratch
You won’t believe how simple this recipe really is. And the best part is that I usually have all the ingredients on hand.
- Chicken: Whether you use fresh boneless chicken, leftovers from the night before, or my favorite- rotisserie chicken, any type of cooked, shredded chicken would work.
- Cheese: I like making buffalo sliders with mozzarella cheese, but feel free to swap it out with whatever you’d like. A couple of yummy variations include Colby, cheddar, or Monterey jack.
- Buffalo Sauce: Homemade or store-bought, use whichever is your favorite!
- Ranch Dressing: Pick your favorite dressing, and don’t forget to set some aside for dipping.
- Hawaiian Rolls: You can never go wrong with these sweet and savory clouds of goodness. However, any dinner roll would do.
- Butter: This ingredient adds the perfect final touch to these sliders. The melted buttery flavor compliments the tangy sauce beautifully and allows for that nice golden finish.
- Seasoning: Add whichever seasoning you’d like to the butter mixture, but my favorites include garlic and parsley.

Buffalo Chicken Sliders

Ingredients
- 3 cups cooked chicken like rotisserie
- ½ cup buffalo sauce
- ½ cup ranch dressing, plus more for serving if you like
- 1 – 12 pack dinner or Hawaiian rolls
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese, grated
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- Serving
- Blue cheese crumbles
- Hot sauce
- Buffalo sauce
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
- Line a 13×9 baking dish with foil and lightly spray with cooking spray
- In a large bowl combine shredded chicken, buffalo sauce and ranch dressing until chicken is coated with the sauce
- Using a long serrated knife slide the rolls in half, lengthwise
- Place the bottom side of the rolls in the prepared pan
- Add about 1 cup of mozzarella cheese to the rolls
- Add chicken mixture on top of cheese
- Top with remaining cheese
- Place the top half of the rolls on top
- Melt the butter in a small microwave safe bowl or measuring cup
- Stir in parsley flakes and garlic powder
- Brush rolls with butter mixture
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 20-25 minutes or until cheese is melted and chicken is heated through
- Remove foil and continue baking for 4-5 minutes or until rolls are golden brown
- Serve immediately with toppings of your choice
- Store leftovers in refrigerator
