We aren't near a Honey Baked Ham anymore to even considering making a purchase for the holidays. We never did anyway since our families always prepared the main proteins during our big dinners. I'm glad too since the ham can put you back over $50 (or more, depending on the size).
Well you can make it yourself for a fraction of the price! If you want to recreate the same flavor that Honey Baked Ham has, this copycat recipe is it!

Honey Baked Ham Ingredients
- 7-8 lb Spiral Sliced Ham
- 1 cup, Brown Sugar
- 1/2 cup, Pure Maple Syrup
- 12 oz, Pineapple Juice
How to Make Honey Baked Ham
- Unwrap ham and place flat side down in a large slow cooker. Throw away glaze packet and any plastic pieces that cover the bone.
- Rub brown sugar over the sides.
- Pour on maple syrup and pineapple juice.
- Cook in your crockpot on low for 4 hours.
- Baste ham with the juices from the bottom of the slow cooker.

I’m trying this today however I had to improvise as the ham was bigger than called for and I could not put the top on to the slow cooker. I’m using aluminum foil to cover it. Hopefully it will work. I increased the juice, maple syrup and brown sugar to accommodate the fact I hadn’t looked that my ham was 10 lbs and not 7-8 lbs.
