Not only are the better than the original, this copycat recipe is easy to make and even prep ahead for an easy grab and go breakfast. When my boys were younger, I would prep these at least once a month so they could easily grab breakfast on the go. It made our mornings so much easier knowing they had a fulfilling breakfast and something that was easy to grab.

If you don't like english muffins, you can easily substitute it with biscuits, Texas toast or even homemade bread. You can also switch up the scrambled egg with a fried egg. The options are endless!

Sausage Egg McMuffin Ingredients
- 1 english muffin
- 1 sausage patty
- 1 egg
- 1 cheddar cheese slice
- 1/3 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 teaspoon pepper
How To Make Sausage McMuffin
- Cook sausage patty until done on the inside. Roughly 8 minutes on medium heat.
- Set aside. Toast english muffin.
- Lower skillet heat to low and then add egg ring. Crack egg and scramble with a fork. Top with salt and pepper. Cook for roughly 1 1/2 minute then flip and cook another minute.
- Place cheddar cheese, egg, and sausage patty onto the english muffin. Serve!
How To Meal Prep Sausage Egg and Cheese McMuffin
Meal prepping these sausage mcmuffins for breakfast ahead of time is very easy to do. Simply assemble the sausage egg and cheese mcmuffins using the instructions above. Wrap them up in parchment paper, place them in a gallon size ziplock bag and add them to the freezer. They will freeze well for up to 3 months.
