Top Savings, Recipe and DIY Posts
Last year was a busy year for me. While I was working to build Favado, I was also managing the administrative work (behind-the-scenes) for Savings Lifestyle. I'm thankful for the wonderful ladies who help me run the site. Without them, it wouldn't be updated nearly as often as it is! After a hospital stay in the Fall, I've been even more focused on finding balance with my personal life while continuing to deliver content you find valuable, and they help me achieve that.
Last year, we continued adding content in the form of recipes, DIY posts and money-saving articles. We had some really popular posts so I thought it would be fun to do a “best of” list to share those with you. Without further adieu, here are the top ten posts from Savings Lifestyle in 2013:
Recipes
- Olive Garden Copycat Chicken Alfredo
- Chipotle Copycat Vegetarian Black Beans
- Olive Garden Copycat Smoked Mozzarella Chicken Penne Pasta
- Chipotle Copycat Adobo Marinated Chicken
- Chipotle Copycat Corn Salsa and Mild Salsa
- Homemade Pie Crust
So, ya'll like these copycat recipes! I knew they'd be a hit when we started adding them a few years ago. We will continue to add even more this year so you can make dishes homemade and save money! Recipes will be posted every Wednesday by our amazing guest contributors.
DIY
We will be adding even more DIY posts and crafts this year. I'm thankful for some creative contributors who can add this type of content for you. Watch for new DIY posts and crafts every Tuesday.
Saving Money
- Coupon Database
- Make Money at Home with Online Surveys
- 35 Simple Ways to Save
- Back to School Seasonal Price Comparison Database
- Black Friday Price Comparison Database
The top saving money posts or pages didn't surprise me, especially with the coupon database, Back to School or Black Friday databases. I create these types of resources (and content) out of selfish interests and I'm glad you find them valuable too! I've been brainstorming ways to make all of these tools even better this year. Stay tuned!
Also, I have a plan for 2014 to add even more relevant content that will help you save beyond groceries. That has been my goal since the rebranding in 2010 and I'm excited to focus a lot more on that this year. I'm excited because I think you'll find value in the changes and additions that you will see!
