If you have guests coming to dinner, take a look below at how to make your own chalk label napkin rings so each guest will know how special they are.
Chalk Label Napkin Rings Supplies
- Chalkboard Paint
- Fresh Leavs
- Glue Gun
- Raffia
Chalk Label Napkin Rings Directions
- Start by taking a handful of raffia strands and twisting them. Tie them into a loop that is large enough for your napkin to fit through.
- Lay your leaves flat on a piece of newspaper and apply two coats of chalk board spray paint. Allow plenty of drying time in between each coat of paint.
- Once your leaves are dry, you can apply a few dabs of hot glue on the back and press the leaf to the raffia. Press firmly to be sure it adheres well.
- On each leaf, you can now take chalk and write the name of each guest. This way, the napkin ring will also serve as a place card holder! Talk about being festive AND functional!
- Finish the piece by gluing a little extra raffia in loose strands to the underneath of the leaf. This will give it a natural look.
Now all you need to do is roll your napkins and slip them into each napkin ring. Guests will love coming to the dinner table and seeing their name etched into the leaf and displaying their napkin.
This craft is so fun and frugal that you can afford to make a bunch for your next gathering. Kids can even get on the action as they may enjoy writing their own names with chalk into the leaves. So gather your supplies, gather the kids if you wish, and head to your workspace. Give these chalk label napkin rings a try and add some personal fall charm to your table.
