Great Gifts for Giving!
It's Christmas and 'tis the season for giving, right?!! I have a few gift ideas I want to share with you. Some of these are unique items, and I always get compliments on them. These come with my personal endorsement as I am not working with these companies in any capacity for reviews. I simply want to share some of my faves with you!
And, before I start, some of these aren't the most frugal options either. But, if it is possible, I will share how you can get them a little cheaper.
Philosophy Amazing Grace Firming Body Emulsion
This is THE BEST scent ever! I love everything Philosophy, but this lotion is the first product I started using of the brand. While it states it's a *firming* body emulsion, it hasn't firmed for me (ahem – only the gym can do that for me). But, you will smell good! The best place to purchase this is through QVC. You can get a large 32 oz bottle for around $45 (or $50 with shipping). But, you can order through a cash back site and earn around 3% cash back. A bottle of this size lasts me around three months because I use it everyday. |
Birth Designs Family Pendant It looks like they are requiring a longer turnaround for the Christmas season. This is still a great gift for any gift time!I purchased this pendant a few months ago and I get so many compliments! I'm not a big jewelry person. But, I love this necklace because it's casual to wear everyday (which I normally do) and can also work with something dressier because, well, who doesn't love seeing someone's jewels reflecting their family??!! The price starts at $58. |
Mom Shirt
I just got this shirt at the Mops Convention. I don't wear many mom items because sometimes they can be a little cheesey (not to offend anyone), but this one is simple and cute. I have received several compliments on this item too! If you do order this, order a size larger. I have the Fitted Size XL. I typically wear a size M or L shirt, but the XL gives me a little wiggle room. The shirts also come in non-fitted and long/short sleeve too. I purchased a short sleeve so I could add a layering long sleeve shirt underneath (the XL gives me room to do that too). The shirt is $20 and shipping starts at $6. |
Friendship/Sister Necklace
This is the necklace I purchased for my friends. I found this necklace last year searching on Etsy. The necklace is priced at $35 and it appears the Etsy store owner has them in stock to ship immediately. It's just a unique idea and I especially like the message card that explains the design of the necklace and how that relates to sisterhood (or friendship). |
Eugenia
This is a necklace from Premier Fashion Jewelry. I bought this several months ago and wear it so much! I wear it with dressier outfits and very casual stuff. It's a great piece to have! The Eugenia retails for $49, but when I told my Premier Consultant, Shelby, I was mentioning it, she graciously offered Mommy Snacks readers a 15% discount. So, if you are interested in this piece, contact Shelby on her blog to order one and get the discount (her email is in the right hand side). Mention “necklace” in your email Subject line so she knows you are coming from here to place an order. |
Photo Books
You can order these from any online Photo store. These are always a huge hit when I give them as gifts. If there are husbands out there reading, I GUARANTEE your wife would LOVE you if you made her a book for Christmas. I mean, she will probably cry (and you can thank me later). I've ordered from multiple companies and haven't had issues with quality. I would suggest SeeHere, Shutterfly or Snapfish. Snapfish also has a 20% code for Photo Books. Just enter HOLIDAY09 at checkout. Most of the sites also have a new customer promotion offering FREE prints to new members. Don't forget to shop online and save even more! |
Swivel Sweeper
OK, this is a practical gift :) So, again, husbands if you bought your wife that Photo Book and got her this Swivel Sweeper she would probably not take that much offense to it (or, at least I wouldn't). Actually, my husband bought me one a while ago and I absolutely love it! This retails at $28. |
If you are a blogger and have created a gift guide (or multiple guides), please link them up below! I didn't even hit the surface of all the good suggestions I have seen in some guides. It may help to include your blog name and the types of items you are sharing so people can quickly see if they need help in that specific area.

What am I thankful for? Of course, all the usual, family, friends, home, etc. Today I am thankful for deer grazing in our yard outside my daughter’s window this morning. It reminds me that we live in a great area full of God’s creation.
I’m always the most grateful for the same thing – my husband! He’s absolutely amazing in all that he does and how he takes care of me. I couldn’t be more loved, and that never ceases to surprise me. Thank you for a fabulous giveaway, Andrea!
I am So very grateful and thankful that my family is healthy!
I tweeted the giveaway here.
Just tweeted about this giveaway. Thankful for every moment of every day with my beautiful family
I am thankful for so many things this year. It has been a tough year for my family but God has chosen to give us strength to endure and by trusting in the plan he has set for us we have found a place of comfort and peace. I am thankful for my grandson. OH such precious little souls. I am thankful for my job. I am thankful for my salvation. I am thankful for so, so many things.
Happy Thanksgiving to you & your family!
Like Linda S, I am incredibly thankful for all the things God has done in my life this past year. Without him me & my family would be in a much different place than we are. He is truly faithful all the time and I look forward for the opportunity to share his love with others this holiday season.
I’m so thankful for my 9-month-old son, I never knew how much work being a parent required, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Just seeing him giggle makes all the work worth it!

I’m thankful for salvation through Christ. If he hadn’t died for my sins, there would be no way I could spend eternity with him. And I’m thankful for his Holy Spirit that he gives us, that teaches us and convicts us of sin. God is so good, and the blessings he gives us are always overflowing!

I am thankful for being able to be a stay-at-home mom! I never thought I’d want to be until our first was born. Then we worked like crazy to pay off debt and continue to work at it to make it possible. Great gift guide, especially for those who have everything!!!

I am thankful this year for a newly refreshed marriage, my kids and really, living the life – even when we might not feel like it every day. Our family is so blessed in so many ways. We truly do have it all! (But I still wouldn’t mind winning a gift card – after all, one reason we have it all is because we have been smart with our money and seek out all kinds of deals to buy things!)
I am SO thankful for my husband. He works hard 5 days a week (he’s usually gone 12 hours or more) so that I can stay home with our children.

Hi I am so thankful for having my Dad this holiday season. We just found out his lung cancer is in remission. : )
I am thankful to be having a full house on Thanksgiving and plenty of food to feed all of them!
I’m most thankful for a family who let my husband and I move back home (to a house they own) when we were pretty much homeless and jobless over a year ago, and have invited us to live here indefinitely. I’m just thankful to have a close knit family who will always be there for each other; as long as you have people who love you in this world, you can get through anything.
