Save on Haircuts
The following Best Savings Tip comes from reader, Kelley:
Check out the local hair schools for quick haircuts. Students are supervised by instructors during the cut and then haircuts are check by the instructor before you leave.
Cuts can cost as little as $8 and are perfect in between pricier cuts as its easy for the student to clean up a good foundation. Great for the kids before heading back to school too!

I have never been brave enough to go to a teaching school for myself. Now, for my boys, I would totally do it but there isn't one convenient to us. I also know people who clip their kids' hair to save as well but that didn't turn out well for us!
Have you had a good experience at a local cosmetology school?

This is a great one. I go to the Paul Mitchell school on Lebanon Road, last time I went I paid just $10 for a perfect hair cut with my short choppy layers, I usually spend $40 going to a nice salon. My friend just went and paid $50 for a hair cut, all over color and highlights. You can choose your level of student and the price goes up for each one. The students that are closest to graduating are only $12 for a haircut, all they have left to do is take their final cosmetology test and they have their license and work in a pricey salon, so it really is like a professional doing it anyway. Its worth a try, I bet you will love it if you went!
