Do a Gift Exchange
When your family and circle of friends grows, that is nothing but a blessing. But, it doesn't really bless your wallet. When there are several people to purchase gifts for consider doing a gift exchange.
Gift exchanges can be done several ways. You can do the more traditional route where you draw names from a hat. Or, the new media way is to draw online. Use a gift exchange website like Elfster which also allows you to remain anonymous and get hints for what your gift recipient wants.
Some other tips for having a successful gift exchange:
- Set a price limit for gifts.
- Determine if gifts will be serious or fun (toe socks anyone??)
- Set the date for when you will exchange the gifts.
- Make your gift exchange a potluck.
