Weigh Flat Rate Produce

The following Everyday Savings Tip comes from, Carrie:

When purchasing produce that is not charged per pound, but per unit or item, be sure to weigh it. When they package strawberries in one pound containers, they are supposed to be a minimum of one pound, but can be more.

Or, if you buy a pineapple for $1.99, you can often get at least a full pound more of fruit for the same price by weighing them and finding the largest one. Also, produce already in 3.5, or 10 pound bags are also supposed to be a minimum of that weight, but often many have more. So, weigh your produce and go home with more for the same price.
