Save by Re-evaluating Your Purchases
The following Everyday Savings Tip comes from, Sarah of Making Cooley Stuff:
Recently I started a new savings practice while shopping. When I am done shopping and headed to the checkout, I stop and do a reality check. I ask myself, is there anything in my cart that I don't need? And almost always, there is at least one thing I can put back. Sometimes there are a lot of things I can put back.
Recently at Target I removed over $40 worth of merchandise from my cart just by doing a reality check before I checked out. And to me, that is big. Not only did I save $40, but I also felt a sense of pride in myself for not letting those retailers trick me into spending more money.
What ways do you save by rethinking purchases?
