Save Money by Reusing Containers
This Everyday Savings Tip comes from, Sarah of Making Cooley Stuff:
I save and reuse all kinds of containers. The possibilities are endless. You can reuse containers for all kinds of things. Especially some of the more unique ones. For example, I save the glass jars from jar candles and used them for q-tips and cotton in my bathroom. I reuse the plastic containers from spices for my many creations and DIY projects. Recently I reused some mason jars by drilling a hole in the top, gluing a soap pump inside, and voila! a homemade soap pump.
Oatmeal and Pringles containers can be used as gift containers for giving cookies if you glue some wrapping paper around the outside. Now, obviously, I don't save every container or else my house would look like a trash heap. But I do have a few containers that I saved because I know I will find a use for them.
I have many more ideas to reuse containers, there is just so much you can do. And it saves me money because I don't have to go out and buy something, I can reuse something that is probably much better. Before you throw a container away, just take a minute to stop and think about the many things you can use it for!

I struggle with this all the time with plastic butter, cool whip, etc. containers. I hate to throw them out so I end up with a large stack of them that I use as my leftovers bowls. I do love the suggestions with the glass jars!
