If you are looking for the perfect Mother’s Day gift or weekend upcycle project, look no further than this upcycled jewelry organizer. You can craft one using just a few supplies, most of which can be found at your local thrift and craft stores. Take a look!
Upcycled Jewelry Holder Supplies
- Metal Grater
- Spray Paint
- Ribbon (optional)
As mentioned, you can find graters such as the one used here at most thrift stores.
Upcycled Jewelry Holder Directions
- Begin by cleaning the grater well with soap and water. Scrub away as much debris and rust as possible.
- Once the grater is dry, apply two coats of spray paint, allowing plenty of time for each coat to dry. Be sure to cover all sides of the grater as well as any of the inside that can be seen.
- Allow plenty of drying time. You can then add optional ribbon to the handle if you wish. Just cut a length of ribbon and tie it into a bow around the handle.
To use your jewelry organizer, simply run the hooks of your earrings or jewelry pieces into the holes on the grater. They will display quite nicely. Give this easy upcycle a try and create a gift that is practical and frugal as well.
