How to Make Your Own Iced Coffee
The following Best Savings Tip comes from reader, Stephanie:
To save money on pricey iced coffee drinks, I make my own. The following recipe will make two servings.
Iced Coffee Ingredients
- Extra Strong Coffee (40 ounces)
- 6 pks, Splenda
- 1/4 cup, Fat Free French Vanilla Creamer (or whatever flavor you like)
- Drizzle, Sugar Free Chocolate Syrup
- Ice
- Pour the coffee in a tall 16 oz cup.
- Add the cream and splenda and stir.
- Pour it over (2) 16 ounce cups of ice.
- Drizzle the chocolate syrup over it and enjoy GREAT tasting iced coffee!
This helps us not waste coffee because I just take our leftover coffee from the morning and use (it gets stronger when its old). I also like this because I can control what goes in it and make it as low fat as I possible.
We'll say one iced coffee is about $3 if you buy it. Since this gives you two large servings you save $6 each time you make it!
