Copycat Recipe: Cinnabon Caramel Pecanbon
I love, love cinnamon rolls. Trying to make these from scratch is time consuming. Trying to buy these from the world famous Cinnabon restaurant can be a bit pricey. So I have created a much faster and cheaper version and I am sure you will agree. I also did the math on these for calorie content. Surprising!!!
Cinnamon Roll Ingredients
Topping:
- 1/2 cup, Brown Sugar (packed)
- 2 tbsp, Butter (unsalted)
- 2 tbsp, Honey

Glaze:
- 1/3 cup, Confectioners Sugar

Cinnamon Rolls Preparation Directions
{Step 1} Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees.
{Step 2} In a small saucepan, heat the topping ingredients: brown sugar, butter, honey and 1 tbsp of water over medium heat until smooth.
{Step 3} Pour the topping mixture into a 9-inch round cake pan and sprinkle the pecans over the mixture.
{Step 4} Place the biscuits on top of the pecans, with the sides touching.

Yummy! I love cinnamon. The best thing in the world is a warm sticky gooey cinnamon roll. This looks delicious!
Yum! These look really tasty and I am so impressed with the reduced calorie count. Wow!
The best way to do the topping is to mix it all together, then put in the bottom of your baking pan. Put in the fridge to cool and set. Then, put all the biscuits on top of the topping mix, and bake it all together. When the biscuits are done, flip the whole pan over onto another pan, cookie sheet or whatever.
I used to work at Cinnabon in high school, that’s how its done there. Its less mess, because you end up only cleaning the pan you baked in.
I made changes: I took the biscuit dough and sliced it as I roll it away from me. It should look like a long breadsticks. Spread butter and cinnamon sugar over the dough. roll the dough back up so they look like a tube. slice dough into cinnabons and place in pan. Butter each bun and sprinkle with more cinnamon sugar and bake. They were the best
