Easy Homemade Strawberry Pie

- 4 cups, Strawberries
- 1 cup, White Sugar
- 3 Tbsp, Cornstarch
- ½ cup, Water
- 1 Tbsp, Lemon Juice
- Pie Crust
- 1 Egg
- Whisk egg and brush pie crust, bake in oven set to 375° for 5 minutes.
- Slice half the strawberries, put the other half in a bowl and crust them well.
- Whisk cornstarch into water to dissolve.
- In a large saucepan over low heat combine cornstarch mixture, sugar, lemon juice, and crushed strawberries. Stir constantly until mixture thickens.
- Remove pan from heat and allow to cool, stir in sliced strawberries.
- Pour into baked crust.
- Chill until pie is set.
