Soul Snack: Then Sings My Soul Saturday

I first heard this song over at Mama Belle's place a few weeks ago. The Lord knew I needed the message in this song at that moment. I was struggling with handing something over to God because of the perceived insignificance of the matter. This song hit my heart pretty hard because it came down to me trusting God. It doesn't matter how small something is or how huge it may have been – God is an everlasting God who never changes and will remain forever but I have to trust Him. I am so thankful that I can cling to that truth. He is everlasting and cannot praise Him enough for allowing me to question that and yet still find a tender place back in His arms!

This song is now on my ipod for my exercise routine. No, it's not a typical beat that I run to, but I found that I just kept meditating on the words and message throughout my run this week. I kept hitting repeat on the song and before I knew it an entire mile was gone and I felt no pain or exhaustion, which isn't typical for me at that point in my run. God does that – His word soaks up every ounce of your being that it keeps you oblivious to the things here on Earth [that will pass]. There is something so much better to look forward to…we can have that Everlasting love….as long as we trust. I love Him for that!

Be sure to hear some other songs to help you trust and reaching for Him over at Amy's place.

Sweet message! I too struggle with handing things over to the Lord, only with me it’s the bigger things I tend to hang onto.
