DIY Foamy Soap Recipe

The following Everyday Savings Tip comes from, Lesa:

Save those containers that dispense foamy soap!  Pour 7-8 oz of your favorite concentrated soap into an empty gallon milk jug. Fill almost to top (leave room to mix) with warm water and gently mix. Refill as necessary.

This saves me a ton of money because I have 7-year old twins who think you need a handful of concentrated soap to wash their hands (when they bother to wash their hands at all!).

I usually use soft soap purchased on sale with a coupon for FREE –  $0.15 per bottle. This makes about a gallon or 64 oz which fills the foamy soap containers I have on hand right now 7 or 8 times for a net cost of my time to make it up (5 minutes so free) to about $.02 per container! Plus as an added bonus, we are recycling the containers when empty.
