Reuse Plastic Produce Containers

I started purchasing pre-washed salad in the plastic containers at the store last year. I couldn't bring myself to throw away the containers because I just knew there would be something I could do with them since they are a decent quality.

While a few were piling up I decided to use them in the downstairs closet to hold crafting supplies for the boys. Since they are clear, we can easily see what's inside. They fit perfect on the shelves and the boys know exactly what to grab when we are working on a project together.

Since I have been reusing the plastic containers, I am justifying the higher price for each unit. While they don't cost a lot more, I know I will get double duty out of each: something for our tummy and something for our organization needs!

  1. I think pre-washed salad is sooooo overpriced, even the reusable container doesn’t justify it.

If it has the recycle number 6 on it, you can color on them with permanent markers and shrink them in the oven to make Shrinky Dinks.
