Price Match to Maximize Store Coupons

The following Everyday Savings Tip comes from, Darrell:

What do you do when you have a store specific coupon, and that store doesn't have the best deal on that product? Get a price match!

I made a trip to a local specialty store, Jungle Jim's. Cottonelle Ultra Toilet Paper was on sale for $4.99 (for 12 double rolls). I had a $2 off coupon from Kroger that would make this a great deal. The problem is that Jungle Jim's does not accept competitor coupons, and even if they did the nearest Jungle Jim's is 45 minutes from my house. My solution was to go to Walmart for a price match.

Since Walmart price matches competitors, and accepts competitor coupons, I was able to match the $4.99 price and use the $2 off Kroger store coupon. This can create big savings considering how many stores include in-store coupons in their flyers including Walgreens and Dollar General, and the stores that mail coupons like Kroger.
