Let Go and Let God

The following Everyday Savings Tip comes from, Madalyn:

First I pray for divine wisdom and guidance as I gather coupons and allow the weekly sales to guide me. As I shop, I take my sales papers with me (to ad match whenever possible) and look beyond the sale prices to the smallest size of coupon items.

I once went to the store to buy 24 bottles of barbecue sauce buy one get one free at $1.24 a bottle. I noticed without trying that there was a smaller size bottle for $1 … and my coupons were for $1 off 2. So I saved $5.76 on that transaction, and even MORE on three similar transactions in the same shopping trip! My eyes didn't see the extra savings … the sight God gave me did!

  1. Personally, I’m non-religious, but it seems like a lot of couponers are empowered by their faith. Good on you all! :)

    1. Jenny, I’m not religious either, I have a relationship with Christ :) I guess it may seem that faith empowers believers since that is what so many live by. Thanks for commenting!
