Preheat oven to 350 and spray tube pan or 13 x 9 inch pan generously

Combine dry ingredients and set aside

Beat eggs, add sugar and oil and beat until well blended (2-3 minutes)

Stir in dry ingredients, then add apples, nuts and vanilla

Bake in tube pan (or 13×9 pan) for one (1) hour and 15 minutes. Until toothpick comes out clean.

Take toothpick and pick holes all over top of cake.
Topping Directions:

Combine all topping ingredients in medium saucepan

Bring to a boil and cook for 3 minutes on medium heat

Pour half of the liquid over the warm cake and set the other half aside to cool.

Stir topping and then pour over completely cooled cake and let it run down the sides.
