Frozen Meat Recall Tip

The following Best Savings Tip comes from reader, Sharon:

I always include the original package label (or a copy) when repackaging ground meats to be frozen for future use. With all the ground beef recalls in the past and now the ground turkey scare, I'm able to see right away if I have any of the meat in question.

This is a great tip. Whenever there has been a recall, I have had the meat still in the package so the store knew it came from them. I'm not sure a store would try to deny a return but it's better to have the original package label too so they know where it came from too.
