DIY Tip: How to Organize Your Stockpile Freezer Inventory

I have found a new system to organize my stockpile freezer inventory to save me time and money. If you are like me, the freezer can be a hiding place for food that can be forgotten and never seen again until they are freezer burnt. Here is what you will need to do.

Freezer Stockpile Inventory Supplies

:: Dry Erase Marker
:: Clean dry surface of your freezer

DIY Steps

{Step 1} CLEAN out your freezer and toss whatever has gone bad!

{Step 2} Categorize all of your frozen foods and write them on the outside of the freezer lid.

{Step 3} Erase/add as needed

Project Cost

This project will cost you essentially nothing but time it takes to organize the freezer. If you do not have dry erase marker, you can pick them up for around $1-$2 during back to school season.  You can even purchase several colors if you would like to color coordinate your categories. Hang your marker on a string or set on a shelf near the freezer and you are all set!

  1. I do something similiar, but hung a dry erase board behind our freezer. The top of our freezer is never clean and dry and we always dump stuff on it… I have to say knowing what’s in there sure makes life easy!
