2 cups, Sugar
½ cup, Milk
1 tsp, Vanilla Extract
1 stick, Butter butter (1/2 cup)
3 cups, Rolled or Quick Oats
3 Tbsp, Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
In a large bowl, stir together the oats and the cocoa powder until the oats are coated. Set aside.
In a saucepan on the stove, mix together the sugar, milk, vanilla extract, and butter over a medium heat. Constantly stir until the mixture begins to boil. Once it’s boiling, let it boil for one minute, still stirring constantly.
After a minute, remove the mixture from heat and pour over the oat mixture. Stir an incorporate all the ingredients well. Let then entire mixture cool for a few minutes.
Use a small tablespoon scoop to drop the cookies onto a piece of parchment paper. Let the cookies cool and set up for several hours before moving them into a storage container. Store in the refrigerator.
