DIY Chicken Wire Memo Board Instructions

{Step 1} First, remove the insides of your picture frame and set aside. You will not be needing the glass or the cardboard insert.

{Step 1} Paint your frame if you wish. For our frame pictured, we used a white paint and lightly sanded it when dry to give it an antique look.

{Step 1} Once dry, place your frame down on the chicken wire to get an idea of how much you will need to cut for it. Flip the frame over on its face and lay the sheet of chicken wire down on the back of it.

{Step 1} Pull the chicken wire tightly and begin stapling it around the border of the frame. Remember to pull tightly as you go so the wire does not look saggy.

{Step 1} Once you have stapled the wire to the perimeter of the frame, use the wire cutters to cut off all of the excess wire.

{Step 1} After the excess is removed, take the wire cutters or pliers and fold any sharp edges inward and over so they do not cut or scrape anyone.

{Step 1} Using your clothes pins, attach recipe cards, pictures, receipts, or anything else you wish to your frame.
