Diet & Fitness Snack: Fat Burnin’ Friday

Well, I hit the pavement this week. The weather in Ohio is like a woman going through hot flashes – one minute it's super hot, the next minute ice is on your windows. Whatup??

Anyway, I was excited that it was nice week because I got back outside to do some running. I only got in one run last week (and that was it – I am sooo bad). When I was able to get out Monday night, it just felt great! I was sharing with my hubs that it felt so easy, almost too easy. He thought maybe the week off was good for me (but it was really a second week). I think maybe he was right.

Since the weather this week was beautiful, I was able to get outside. But, even with getting outisde, I had to go before 6 o'clock since it gets dark then (and I don't run in the dark). It's hard to get dinner on the table, eat, let it digest and be revved up to run before 6p just to avoid the “boogy man ” that lurks in the darkness :-)

I just don't want to get my badunkadunk on the treadmill! It's so weird how I couldn't stand running outside after being on the treadmill for 3 months, now it's reversed. Maybe I will talk myself back into it.

The bottom line is I still have 8 pounds to lose (yeap – no weight loss this week either) and I want to lose them!!! I will be doing whatever exercise it takes in order to work towards my goal. I am starting to get comfortable at the weight I am right now. I have lost a lot this year but I need to reach my goal before I feel comfortable! This level of comfort with 8 pounds to go isn't a good feeling to keep hanging around!

How did you do this week? How much are you wanting to lose or how much do you still need to go to achieve your weight loss goal? Or, if you aren't trying to lose, what fitness goals are you struggling with? Both areas are real challenges and maybe a jolt in the mouse is what we need to get inspired!! :-)

I only ran once too! Hubs and I don’t get home til 6ish and I don’t work out in the dark alone. Once a week a friend and I walk and talk but we’re together so I’m not scared:)

I’ve been getting up a few minutes early and doing 12 mins of cardio before work. 12 mins x 5 days = extra hour of cardio! Mornings are a little more crunched but I like squeezing in the extra workout!!

I just pulled out my pilates dvds and my hand weights. I hope to kick start my weight loss too! Running is just not enough especially with the holidays coming up.

I was not able to take advantage of the great weather and run like I had planned, due to being sick. At this point it has been 3 weeks and I am trying to work up the motivation to go running in the cold. I liked the 70 degree days of last week much better.
