Ok, Parents! Do you desperately need a night out with the hubby or just have a conversation without the words,”Mom! Can you…..? If so, the Melting Pot in Centerville and BounceU in Miamisburg have joined forces to create the perfect night out without the kids called Ultimate Parents Night Out!
The Ultimate Parent's Night Out is available every Friday. It will cost $50/couple for a three course dinner at the Melting Pot and $25 for 2 kids at BounceU's Parents Night Out from 6pm-9pm. It is $12.50 for each additional child. Dinner is included and they can choose from Alfredo Noodles, Spaghetti & Meatballs, or Butter Noodles. The normal cost is $22/child so this is a great deal.
Last Friday night, was our first dining experience with the Ultimate Parent's Night Out at the Melting Pot. We arrived at BounceU at 5:45pm to drop off and register the kids and then headed to the restaurant for our 6:15pm reservation. We were excited for the night out since we have not spent much time together due our hectic schedules and the kids' football practices.
We were greeted by our waiter, Jack, and he was so helpful because we were newbies to the whole fondue experience. Our first decision was to pick out the cheese fondue. We decided on the Spinach Artichoke Fondue and all the ingredients were mixed together in our pot at our table. I love spinach artichoke dip and I would have to say that this one is my new favorite. I think I even liked dipping the Granny apples the best. Steve even tried it with tortilla chips. If you know my Steve, then you know that this is normally not his thing.
Next, was the salad. Usually, I do not get all geeked up about salads but we LOVED the Melting Pot House Salad. The Melting Pot House Dressing was the perfect mix of sweet and tangy. Needless to say, it was delicious and we finished it. I really liked the sliced eggs and cheese on top!
Then, we had to pick our entrees and the cooking style. This was really new for us and we went with the Bourguignonne, which is in a cholesterol free canola oil. I picked the filet mignon and Steve had the Land & Sea, which included chicken, shrimp and filet mignon. The meat comes to the table uncooked along with potatoes and some more veggies. You have a variety of dipping sauces that you can dip them all in. I think I tried them all and they were delish. Steve loved the shrimp!
The Chocolate Fondue is not included, however, you can add for $16. You can choose your chocolate fondue and you will get a yummy tray of sweets to dip into the fondue. It will have strawberries, bananas, cheesecake, brownie bites, pound cake, assorted marshmallows and my favorite, Rice Krispies Treats. Trust me you will want to save room because it is delicious!
We had a blast! The food, atmosphere and the service was awesome! It took us a little over two hours for dinner so this truly is an experience. We really had the chance to talk which is not always possible with two kids. Also, I loved that the kids had fun bouncing to their hearts content while we had a nice dinner without coming home to a messy house. I would highly recommend the Ultimate Parents Night Out for your date night! You will not regret it! I am event thinking about going for a Girls Night Out, too!
