Dayton Free + Cheap Family Events on November 6

There are some Family Friendly Events going on this Weekend that you will not want to miss.  If you are like us, we have a free weekend so we are going to check out Borders Lego Atlantis Event.  My boys love Legos so I know that this one may be a hit.

Borders:  Lego Atlantis Kids Party, 2 pm

They will be highlighting Lego Atlantis products that are now available in their stores.  The kids can play games and there will be giveaways while supplies last. Kids ages 8-12 are recommended for this event.

If you have not already, I would sign up for the Borders Rewards Program to get coupons in your email.  You can also, “Like” Borders on Facebook for more discounts.

Home Depot Workshop: Build a Spice Rack, 9 am – 12 pm

Bring the kids to your local Home Depot to Build a Spice Rack.  This is a Free Event but you will want to get their early to ensure you will get the kit.

Michael's Knack, 10 am – 2 pm

With Veterans Day next week, bring the kids out to your local Michael's this Saturday.  They will be able to  decorate a star to say “thank you” to Veterans and active Military.  This is a Free event and a great way to let our Veterans know how much we appreciate them.

Don't for get to bring your ad from the Sunday Paper to save 40% off a regular priced item.

Joann Fabrics: Open House, 11 am – 3 pm

Joann's is having an Open House this weekend in their stores.  Interested in learning a new craft or techniques, you can check out their in-store classes.  This Saturday only, selected classes will be 50% off.

Also, they will have some Free Demonstrations:

  • 11 am – 1 pm: Papercrafting with the Cricut and Gypsy
  • 1 pm – 3 pm: Wilton Holiday Peppermint Bark

Don't forget to bring you ad with the 40% coupon for a regular priced item.  Can't locate your ad, no problem.  They should have copies in the front of the store and they will have the coupons as well.
