Dayton Free Weekend Events: January 27-29

Here are some fun things to do this weekend in Dayton!

Friday, January 27

Beavercreek YMCA:Try Kayaking @7pm-9pm

This is great opportunity to have the kids learn about kayaking in a safe and controlled environment. You will learn about proper boating safety and will be able to try out different kayaks. It is recommended for kids ages 5-17 years.

You can register by calling 937-277-4374 but walk-ins will be welcome to join in the fun!

Saturday, January 28

Lowe's Build and Grow: Build-a-Saurus @10am-12pm

The kids will have the opportunity to build their very own Dinosaur and can add cool sticker to their creation. Make sure to register to ensure you child will have a spot!

Each participant will receive apron, goggles, project themed patch, and certificate of merit upon completion.

Sunday, January 29

National Air Force Museum: Reds Caravan @ 10:30am-1:30pm

The Reds Caravan will be making a stop at the Air Force Museum on Sunday. You will have the opportunity to meet Thom Brennamon, Catcher Devin Mesoraco, Walt Jocketty, Phil Castellini, Tom Browning, Minor League Outfielder Ryan LaMarre and Mr. Redlegs.

The visit will include a Question and Answer session followed by an autograph session. Seating and autographs will be limited 450 fans and you will have the opportunity to take photos as well.

One lucky fan will win 2 Tickets to the 2012 Opening Day game against Miami Marlins on April 5, 2012.
