Dayton Free Weekend Events: May 18-20, 2012

Here are a few free events going on this weekend.

Saturday, May 19

Miami Valley South: Safety of Wheels Bike Rodeo @9am-12pm

Bring the whole family out along with their bicycles and helmets for a the Bike Rodeo.  They will be be meeting at the Parking Garage on the upper deck of the hospital.

You will be able to meet McGruff the Crime Dog, try the maneuverability courses, and see the Care Flight Helicopter.  This should be fun for the entire family.

PNC 2nd Street Market: Tab-a-pull-ooza @9am-3pm

Bring your pull tabs from cans to the market to support the Ronald McDonald House.  While you are there, you can support many local vendors and businesses while listening to Classic Rock music from Drastic Measures.  This is one of my favorite places!

Germantown MetroPark: Try Hiking @2pm-4pm

Come out to the park and learn a new trail at the Germantown Metropark.  There will be volunteers and staff along the way for information and maps along the way.  This is a great way to get out with the family and exercise at the same time!

Marketplace at Settlers Walk in Springboro: Family Pet Fair @12pm-4pm

This is a great family event that you can bring your dog with you.  There will be dog costume contests, cake walk, goodie bags and activities for the kids.  Some discounts will be offered as well.

Sunday, May 20

Aullwood Garden: May Magic @2pm-4pm

Bring the family out to take a tour of the gardens and enjoy cookies and punch on the porch.  You can meet in the parking lot.  For more information, call 277-6545.

Wegerzyn Gardens: Bike Rodeo @12pm-3pm

Come out to Wegerzyn Gardens to learn bike safety with the kids.  They will be fitting kids for a free bike helmet while supplies last and learning the rules of the road.  They will be able to try out a bicycle road course with their bikes.

You can register by calling 937-277-4823.  However walk-ins are welcome!
