Troy Strawberry Festival: June 3-5

Located in Troy, the festival will be kicked off tonight at 6pm with opening ceremonies and the parade.  The entire weekend is packed with Live Entertainment, Arts & Crafts, Booths, Events and not to mention all the yummy strawberry treats.  If you have the time this weekend, you will not want to miss it.

City of Kettering: Touch a Truck, June 4 from 9am-11am

come out to the Kettering Recreation Center to get the chance to see some of your favorite trucks up close.  The kids will squeel with delight when they see this awesome trucks including Big Rigs, Construction vehicles, Fire Trucks, and more!  Make sure to bring your camera and all kids must be accompanied by an adult!

If you want to make a day out of it, bring your swimming suit.  You will be able to get a discount at the waterpark just for attending this event!

Home Depot Kids Workshop: Valet Organizer, June 4, 9am-12pm

Bring the kids out to your local Home Depot to create a Valet Organizer.  You will want to be there early to ensure that your child will get a project.  In addition to the kit, they will receive a kid-sized apron, and an achievement pin.

Eastwood MetroPark: Paddle in the Park June 4, 10am-4pm

If you have ever wanted to try to paddle a boat on the lake, now is your chance and it is FREE.  You will be able to learn all about paddlesports from the top manufactures in kayak and canoes.  The best part is that you can get to try them out. This event is for all ages and skill levels.  You can try out many different styles of boats in the demo area.

If you want to learn something new or enhance your skills, then you can take a class!  I have never tried kayaking, but this would be great event to learn all about it and even go out on the lake and try it!

Centerville Concert Series: Children's Show on June 5, 1:30pm

The Centerville Concert Series will kickoff this weekend on June 5th with a Children's Show.  It will be held at Stubbs Park Amphitheater that is located on Spring Valley near the Washington Township-Centerville Library.

The show will start at 1:30pm with story time.  At 2pm, Mike Hemmelgarn will begin his comedy show that will include some juggling, and lots of interaction with the audience.

You will want to bring blankets and chairs for this event. For inclement weather, contact 433-7155 for more information.
