Come out to the National Air Force Museum Family Day this Saturday, January 21, 2012 from 10am-3pm. This is a free event and we will be learning about robotics and how they have been used in space.
Retired US Air Force Colonel Dr. Catherine “Cady” Coleman is scheduled to speak about her two shuttle missions and about her experiences living at the International Space Station for approximately 6 months. She will speak at 1:30pm at the Carney Auditorium.
Some of the activities planned for this event will include:
- Aerospace Demonstrations
- Story Time at 11:30am and 1:15pm in the Early Years Gallery
- Make a robotic hand end effector
I think this would be a good one to attend. I know my boys would love to hear all about living at the ACTUAL space station and learn all about robotics. This is right up their alley!
