Dayton Art Institute Giveaway: 4 Tickets to You Are My SuperHero

Calling all Super Hero Fans! Right now, The Dayton Art Institute has one of the coolest special exhibits, You Are My SuperHero.  My boys could not wait to see it this summer and begged me to take them.

I really like the exhibit because it has really cool memorabilia and it is very interactive!  The kids loved putting on the face masks along with the Incredible Hulk foam fists.  You can even use an effect word bubble to create your won Super Hero scene.  It is the perfect photo op so bring your cameras!

Also, they have a separate area where you can draw your own comic strip.  My oldest son spent a lot of time drawing the perfect Batman.  However, my youngest son loved sitting in the bean bag chairs reading all of the comic books that are available to read.

You can even find some funny Super Hero inspired humor from Mike Peters cartoons that have been featured in the Dayton Daily News. You just have to see it for yourself to really appreciate it!.

So, I bet you are dying to see it now, right!  You can view it at the Dayton Art Institute through September 23,2012.  Adult admission is $12, Seniors, Students, Active Military is $9, Kids $6, Kids 6 and under are Free.

However, the Dayton Art Institute is offering one lucky Savings Lifestyle Dayton Reader 4 Tickets to go see You Are My SuperHero and experience it yourself.

The only required method to enter the giveaway is with a comment, so…

Huge family with only one bread winner…we would love to take our kids to these exhibits, but we never can afford to take them all (4 kiddos). This is one exhibit that they all would love to wear their capes to! (Mommy & Daddy probably would too!)

My favorite super hero would have to be Wonder Woman, because she has an awesome outfit. But my husband and kids are giant Batman fans!

Love the superheros. I like Superman, Green Lantern… Batman is a little to emo for me… and never a big fan of the Marvel Universe superheros… But who doesn’t like “HULK SMASH”?

Love the superhero theme. Wonder Woman is my current favorite. I found a Wonder Woman board book for my granddaughter recently. I’d love to take her to the DAI’s superhero exhibit for her first ever visit to an art museum. Thanks!

Ever since my dad first got me into comics when I first was starting to read, I have simply adored superheroes and the whole style of writing that comes with it. When my little sister was old enough to read them, I got her into them too. As a family it’s a huge part of our daily conversations, we pretty well speak comics and their film counterparts! Personally my favorite superheroe is Wolverine. Yes he’s rude, sometimes immature, and quite animalistic, but I admire him so much. He was the first superheroe that I was ever introduced to, and I was hooked immediately. He is just so relatable as a character. He has been through so much, and has a part of him that he can’t control no matter how hard he tries. This may have turned into a rant, but I just want to take this time to thank you for the opportunity. Visiting this collection would be a huge highlight to my family, and to me, by giving us the chance to connect again through a medium that we have always loved. Thanks again!

Auqaman wasthe official superhero of our wedding, but several members of the Justice League were present for the festivities. So our family of 5 began with a touch of superhero goodness and 4 tickets would be awesome!

My favorite superhero was always Superman as a kid. I would love to take my kids to see this exhibit. With my husband deployed, it is hard for me to find things that would really interest myseven year old son without his daddy here. I think this would be something that would be the talk of Skype conversations for weeks to come. Thanks for the information!
