Homemade Copycat Cracker Jacks Popcorn Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 bag, Microwave Popcorn (popped)
  • 1 cup, Sugar
  • 3 tbsp, Darn Corn Syrup
  • 2 tbsp, Molasses
  • 2 tsp, Peanut Oil or Canola
  • Kosher Salt
  • 1/2 cup, Peanuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Lightly oil baking sheet.
  2. In a heavy bottom saucepan, add sugar, corn syrup, molasses, oil, salt and peanuts.
  3. Stir over medium heat until candy thermometer registers 250 or soft ball stage (about 8 minutes).
  4. Place popped popcorn in large bowl and pour the mixture over it and stir.
  5. Transfer the popcorn to the greased baking sheet and let cool.
