Weekend Events | Art Museum, DIS/TROY, + More!

Cincinnati Art Museum – Family First Saturday, 2/5/11

Enjoy a family afternoon at the Cincinnati Art Museum this Saturday.  The first Saturday of every month September -May are Family First Saturdays.  This Saturday's theme is “The Cutting Edge.”  Activities include collage and mixed media art with scissors & glue, stringed performances, story telling, scavenger hunts and more.

Family First Saturday's are Free and are geared towards kids ages 6-12.

Voice of America Learning Center – DIS/TROY, 2/6/11

Kids 10 and older may enjoy DIS/TROY, a live performance based on Homer's THE ILIAD Sunday at 3pm.   The Free performance is part of the Playhouse in the Park outreach program.  I thought of my son Logan as soon as I heard about this.  He is really into the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series.  He is thoroughly enjoying all he is learning about the Greek Gods. Thanks MasonMeTu!

Home Depot – Heart Shelf, 2/5/11

Take your kids to Home Depot Saturday from 9am-12pm. This week's project is a Heart Shelf.  Kids can make it for themselves or as a gift for someone special. Kids Workshops are geared towards kids ages 5-12. Each child will receive an orange Home Depot apron and an achievement pin.

Uno's Chicago Grill – Family Tailgating Party, 2/6/11

Check with your local Uno's for participation.  I made a few calls … the West Chester location is participating, the one on Beechmont Ave is not.

Dining Deal or Weekend Event?  Well this one is kind of both and since the dining deals were posted yesterday I'm posting this here instead.  Dress the kids in their favorite jersey and head to Uno's before the big game on Sunday.  Pay only the amount of the number (in cents) on the jersey for a make-your-own pizza.  Other happenings include Kids ‘eye black' face painting in their favorite team color, kids coloring sheets w/ coupons and party platter samplings.
