Sunday Cincinnati Enquirer Delivered: $20 a Year!!!

This deal is no longer active. It was good while it lasted!

Coupons are a great source for savings.  While we have more coupons sources available now than every before, the Sunday paper is probably the first one that comes to mind for most people.  Do you have it delivered to your house or do you go out on Sunday's to buy a paper?  If you do what I used to do you may *plan* to buy the paper each week only realize late Sunday night that you forgot.  After that happening way too many times, I decided it was time to have it delivered to me instead.  I started paying $19 every 11 weeks.   Then I came across a way to get the Sunday Enquirer delivered to me for less!

Stick with me here for a sec.  Subscribe to the Bethel Journal.  It's a local community paper that will be delivered with your mail every Thursday.  It costs $18 a year for Clermont County residents or $20 a year for non-residents.  With the Bethel Journal subscription … and here's the best part … you get a subscription to the Sunday Cincinnati Enquirer for FREE!!

These are the answers to a couple of questions I have gotten when sharing this info with friends.

  • Nowhere during the subscription process does it ask for payment.  It does state that someone will contact you soon.  What that meant for me and others is that you will receive a bill about 2-3 weeks after you subscribe.  You may even get your first paper before the bill.
  • Yes, you can subscribe more than once to get more than one Sunday paper (ie. more than one set of coupon inserts.)  You will have to complete the subscription process for each one.
  • At the end of your 12 month subscription you'll keep getting the Bethel Journal and the Sunday Enquirer … plus another bill of course.

So don't wait.  If you are paying more than $20 for the Sunday paper, stop now and save!

The same deal is available for residents in Northern Kentucky. Subscribe to the Boone County Recorder here and get the Sunday Enquirer Free for a year!

That is interesting–good to know. I currently already have a year of the Enquirer paid for– I forget when it will run out. How long is this deal good for? If I do this now, I wonder if a year will be added on to my current Enquirer subscription.

    • Savings Lifestyle: Becky - November 21, 2010 @ 12:31 am

I think you can cancel your subscription and get a refund for the remainder of the year. You will start getting 2 papers if you start the Bethel Journal Subscription before your current Enquirer subscription ends or is canceled. As far as how long this is good for … I don’t think there is an end date. I’ve had it for about 1 1/2 years now. HTH! Becky

When I did this deal with the Bethel Journal last February a person called me on the phone and I told her I wanted 6 subscriptions. I also told her I was worried about my subscription that was already in place with the Enquirer getting messed up or messing up my new subscription. She pulled up my existing account and cancelled it for me right then. Then she subscribed me to the Bethel Journal (which comes in your mailbox so it doesn’t matter if you live in Bethel or not) for 6 subscriptions. She also made a note in the Cincinnati Enquirer account to be sure that I got 6 papers. I did have to pay my subscription up front. But I did it right after I got my tax refund so it wasn’t so hard on my budget. Since subscribing I have had no problems or issues, however I’ve heard of people who have. This is the best deal you can get and is well worth the time and little bit of cash, even if you have to pay up front!

Let me clarify that someone called me on the phone after I filled out the form.

      • Savings Lifestyle: Becky - November 27, 2010 @ 10:13 am

Good to know Melissa! I haven’t heard of anyone else receiving a phone call. Glad to hear that you are getting a great deal on your Sunday papers!!

  • jennifer Alexander - February 06, 2011 @ 12:50 am

    Thanks I signed up!!

    • Savings Lifestyle: Becky - February 06, 2011 @ 10:36 am

Thanks for commenting Jennifer! I recently heard that this deal was no longer available but had yet to confirm that. I’m so glad to hear that you were able to take advantage of this great savings!!

  • Erin - February 06, 2011 @ 10:40 pm

Can I do this from kentucky? Will they mail a cincinnati enquirer?

    • Savings Lifestyle: Becky - February 07, 2011 @ 8:10 am

Erin ~ Are you in Northern Kentucky or further South? My guess is that you would need to live in an area where the Sunday Cincinnati Enquirer is delivered as part of a paper delivery route.

  • Couponer - June 14, 2011 @ 2:41 pm

I live in an apartment community where Cincinanti Enquirer is delivered. Does that mean i’m on the route of Enquirer delivery and would get the newspaper along with the Journal on Thursday?? Thanks

  • Couponer - June 14, 2011 @ 3:00 pm

Will I receive the Sunday paper on Thursday then? On front of my door?

  • Couponer - June 14, 2011 @ 3:04 pm

If I subscribe today, when wil I get the first Sunday Enquirer outside my door?

  • Couponer - June 14, 2011 @ 4:03 pm

Thanks Andrea and team for the quick response. I ordered 2. Thanks so much!

  • Tina - June 20, 2011 @ 6:59 pm

    Is this deal still valid?

  • bubbie - June 23, 2011 @ 7:40 pm

I ordered the Bethel Journal and the special offer for the Sunday Enquirer and received the Bethel Journal the following Thursday, but did have not yet received the Enquirer. I called the Bethel Journal and they were very helpful, but said I must call the Enquirer to remedy. I called the Enquirer and they had no record of my subscription and acted aloof regarding my explanation of the special offer. I gave them the subscription number provided by the Journal, but they did not recognize the number and said I needed a promotion code. I’m waiting to hear from the Journal about a promotion code, but still no Enquirer.

    • Savings Lifestyle: Becky - June 23, 2011 @ 9:41 pm

Bubbie, I’m sorry you are not getting a simple answer. How long ago did you subscribe online and have you received the bill for the Bethel Journal yet? Did your call to the Bethel Journal confirm that deal is still good? Hopefully there is just a lag time and your Enquirer will come this weekend. Let me know. ~ Becky

  • cathy royer - July 25, 2011 @ 10:04 am

Is it possible to get more than 1 subscription?

    • Savings Lifestyle: Becky - July 25, 2011 @ 11:58 am

Cathy, I haven’t done so myself but I’ve heard of others who have multiple subscriptions. I think you will need to go through the subscription process once for each subscription you want. HTH!!

  • Brendan - August 16, 2011 @ 8:14 am

Just to clarify – does the Sunday paper show up on Sunday, or the following Thursday with your Bethel Journal?

  • Kim - November 14, 2011 @ 8:23 am

Is this deal still going on? When I follow your link to subscribe to the Bethtel Journal it does not mention getting the Sunday Cincinnati Enquirer? When I called the Enquirer subscription customer service – I was told I needed a promo code for them to check it out. I just want to make sure because I really do not need the Bethel Journal I just want the Sunday paper. Thanks!

    • Savings Lifestyle: Becky - November 14, 2011 @ 8:56 am

As far as I know it is still available. I don’t think it ever stated it on the site the link goes to. When you submit your request you will get a message that someone will contact you soon. I’ve learned that simply means you will get a bill in the mail soon. HTH!!

  • jennifer alexander - November 21, 2011 @ 8:41 pm

I tried to get this deal again as we have moved. Ill let you know if i get both. :)

  • Katie - January 03, 2012 @ 9:51 am

I applied for the newspaper and had the Enquirer cancelled on me after a month with no warning. I have called the newspaper 3 times and all they tell me is they are looking into the problem, it has been well over a month.

    • Kim - January 03, 2012 @ 12:19 pm

I was told by the Community Press office that this deal ended 10/31/11.

      • Savings Lifestyle: Becky - January 03, 2012 @ 1:58 pm

Yes this deal has ended. It was a great deal while it lasted!
