This is the plan for dinners at our house this week. What's on your plan?
Monday: Asian Chicken Stir Fry
The chicken is in the freezer, already cut in strips and bagged in Asian Marinade. I'll add a combination of whatever veggies are in my fridge. We're going to try this over Asian noodles instead of the rice we usually have.
See Andrea's in 80 seconds: Freezing Meats in Marinade post. It really is a great time saver!
Tuesday: Sausage, Green Beans and Potatoes
This was a favorite dinner growing up and it's a very easy one! 1 package of smoked sausage cut up in links, 2 cans of green beans (with liquid), 5 or 6 potatoes cut in chunks and enough water to cover. Boil until potatoes are tender. That's it!
Wednesday: Spice Honey Lemon Chicken with Sweet Caramelized Brussels Sprouts
This is a new to me recipe and I can't wait to try it! Just like the Asian chicken, this chicken is already in the marinade in the freezer. Brussels Sprouts are one of my favorites. (I know some would say that makes me strange) I'm looking forward to trying them a new way.
Thursday: Hamburgers, Homemade Fries & Veggies with dip
I just asked my family “Think fast … give me one dinner you want for next week.” All 4 of them said Hamburgers! So I guess we're grilling burgers. Hmmm – I how long will it be before my boys agree on something again?
Friday: Dinner Out
We're all getting haircuts after school and will then be headed to basketball practice. We're going out for dinner afterward.
Saturday: Mom's Night Out Away!!
My boys (hubby too!) will be on their own for dinner. Leftovers maybe or whatever they come up with. I'm looking forward to a girls night away with friends.
Sunday: Hungarian Goulash, Noodles & Broccoli
I over estimated how much of Goulash we needed for Christmas Eve dinner. Yay! That means this dinner will be super easy as it goes t from the freezer to the crock pot in the am!
I love soup this time of year and need some new recipes to try. What are your favorites?
