Panegyri Greek Festival Fri-Sun

Opa! Have you attended Cincinnati's Panegyri Greek Festival at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church before? If so, you are sure to want to return and if not, boy are you in for a treat! This weekend is the 38th annual celebration of the Festival. Come and enjoy Greek food, entertainment, music, dancing, rides, jewelery and sweets…oh, the sweets! Legend has it that the women of the church bake for months in advance and freeze the baked goods because they are so popular.

Admission is $2 for anyone over the age of 12, but Free for children 12 and under. A portion of the proceeds go to the Free Store Food Bank. Festival hours are Fri 5pm-11pm, Sat 3pm-11pm and Sun 1pm-8pm. Check Event Info for directions and parking information. Print a map of the festival if you have never been to help you navigate the grounds.

Anderson Township Library Used Book Sale Fri-Sun

A collection of used books, CDs, audiobooks and more will be on sale this weekend at Cincinnati's Anderson Library Branch. There will be over 60,000 books representing a chance to choose from numerous literary genres. Most books are priced $2-$5. Hours of the sale are Fri 10am-8pm, Sat 10am-5pm and Sun 12pm-3pm. Sunday is Bag Day! You can buy a bag for $10 and fill it with books, CDs, audiobooks and more.

Paddlefest, Kids Outdoor Adventure Expo & Pedalfest 2012 Fri & Sat

If you missed the Kids Outdoor Adventure Expo yesterday, no problem! You have all weekend to observe and participate in the event. You can still register today Friday June 22 or tomorrow Saturday June 23 6:30am-8:30am at Coney Island for the 11th Annual Ohio River Way Paddlefest. You can register online or at Coney Island for Pedalfest through Friday evening or in person at Yeatman's Cove Saturday morning 7am-9am.

The Festival kicks off Friday night at Coney Island with the Ohio River Music and Outdoor Festival's “Roots on the River” concert running 5pm-11:30pm. Saturday is the big day! You can paddle 8 miles down the Ohio River from Coney Island to downtown and/or pedal your bike for a scenic ride through part of Cincinnati. Pedalfest is a new addition to the event this year.


The Magic of Jason the Great 7pm

Jason the Great will perform a family-friendly magic show at Independence Memorial Park in Independence, KY Friday evening. The comedic show will last about 45 minutes. Bring a lawn chair or blanket!

Lowe's Build & Grow Clinic: Madagascar 3 Luxury Assault Vehicle 10am

Kids can build their own Madagascar 3 Luxury Assault Vehicle at the Lowe's Build & Grow Clinic this Saturday. All project materials plus an apron, goggles, a project themed patch and a certificate of merit will be Free for each participant. Register online to reserve your spot!

Northside Art in the Park 11am

Come to Hoffner Park in Northside this Saturday to see the wares of local Artists. The show, advertised as young, hip, wacky and crafty is Free and open to the public. See the Northside Arts Collective Facebook page for more information.

Bridgewater Falls Summerbration 11am-10pm

Bridgewater Falls is hosting a Free event to kickoff summer with live music, kids activities and Rozzi’s Famous Fireworks. The event page boasts that the Summerbration will include 3 live bands, a cornhole tournament (starting at 2pm), food vendors, kids activities including an inflatable moon bounce and slide, inflatable obstacle course, circus workshop and giant games until 6:30pm. Also, a stilt walker/balloon artist from 1pm-5:30pm. The evening will culminate with a dramatic fireworks display from Rozzi's at 10pm. Prizes including gift cards and a year's worth of Jimmy John's subs will be available!

Cincinnati Main Library: Spiderman + Magic Show 2pm-4pm

Come to the Main Library downtown this Saturday from 2pm-4pm to see Spiderman and some of his friends, as well as, the Magic of Tom Bemmes at 2pm. Kids can enjoy the magic show, participate in crafts and get their photo taken with the Amazing Spiderman!

Whole Foods: Learn About Pollinators 1pm

There has been a lot of buzz lately about the importance of honeybees and other pollinators to our food system. This Sunday Whole Foods in Mason is hosting a Free class where you can learn about honeybees, how they play a role in our food system, their habitat and how to start your own beehive!
