Mitchell Memorial Forest: Mountain Bike Trail Grand Opening 12pm

After a 13 month long project, “Trail B” is opening today at Mitchell Memorial Forest. The trail was designed to meet International Mountain Biking Association standards specifically for mountain biking. This is an intermediate trail with moderate to steep terrain and some technical features ideal for mountain bikes.

The trail is 3.9 miles and does connect with Trail A. Helmets are strongly recommended. Hikers are permitted. For more information visit the Mitchell Memorial Forest Mountain Bike Trail Facebook page.

Gaslight Theatre: Madcap Puppets 7pm

Madcap Puppets will perform a Free showing of “When You Wish Upon a Fish” tonight at the Gaslight Theatre in Georgetown, Ohio. The Grimm brothers star in this slap-stick story of a fisherman and his wife.

Pick up your Free tickets at the Mary P. Shelton library in Georgetown.

Colerain Park Amphitheater: Sizzling Summer Entertainment Series 7pm-9pm

Bring the family out to the Colerain Park Amphitheater this evening for Free music by the Ohio Military Band. Lawn chairs and blankets are a must. This is a family friendly event, so bring the kids along. Don't forget the snacks and drinks!

Fairfield Village Green Park: Kids Movie Night at Dusk

Come to Village Green Park tonight to see the movie Cars 2. The sponsor Fairfield Fire Department will also have pre-show fun for the entire family. Movie starts at dusk. Bring your own chairs and blankets.

Boone County: Family Movie Night at Dusk

Bring your own lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy the movie Night at the Museum tonight at the City of Florence South Fork Park. A pre-show will be held at 7pm and the movie will start at dusk.


Home Depot: Kids Workshop 9am-12pm

Kids ages 5-12 can build an Organizer at Home Depot this Saturday. They can store any type of collection in their organizer or make it a gift for Dad!

All kids get to keep their craft and receive a Free Kids Workshop Apron, commemorative pin and certificate of achievement. Safety goggles and tools will be provided.

Cincinnati Museum Center: BugFest 2012 10am-3pm

Do you or your kids love bugs? This is the event for you! Immerse yourself in the world of arthropods with special guests, live insect programming, hands-on activities in LITE Lab, music, a new menu in the Gnatty Café and more in the Rotunda and Museum of Natural History & Science.

Parking is $6. Activities in the Rotunda are Free. Activities in the museums are included with museum admission.

Findlay Market: 117th Annual German Day Celebration 10:30am

A brief program featuring representatives of area German-American societies, local dignitaries as well as a presentation about the German heritage of Findlay Market will occur at the Elm Street entrance to the Market house. The presentation will be followed by a parade of society members in traditional dress winding through the Market square carrying German flags.  Enjoy musical and dance performances by the Donauschwaben dancers, singing by the Fairview German Kinderchor and German music by the Vereinsmusikanten.

Cincinnati Public Library: Reading Rocks! Summer Reading Program Kickoff 2pm-4pm

Stop by the Main Library's Children's Learning Center to kickoff the Summer Reading Program. Enjoy a special performance from the Frisch Marionettes, decorate a book bag and register for Summer Reading! Also check the Library's events page to see if there is a Kickoff program at your local branch that you would rather attend. They are happening all over town this Saturday!


Taft Museum of Art: Chamber Music Concert 2:30pm

The Celtic Ensemble Foley Road will perform a concert under the tent on the terrace. Enjoy the concert and visit the museum before or after. The museum is Free to all on Sundays. Hours are 11am-5pm.

The concert is Free and no reservations are needed.

Fountain Square: Kids Movie Night 7pm

Come to Fountain Square Sunday evening for a Free showing of Kung Fu Panda 2. Bring your own blanket or chair. Pack a pinic basket with drinks, snacks or dinner. Adult beverages, soft drinks and snacks will be available for sale.

My family loves to go down to the square and watch a movie on the big screen!
