$10 Carnegie Visual and Performing Arts Workshops for Kids

It's time to register for the next Scripps Howard Artstop program at  The Carnegie Visual and Performing Arts Center.  The 8 week art series' meet once a week beginning in November and are open to children ages 7-15.

Choose from 3 workshops being offered for the Series:

  • Move Over Mr Aesop!: Give old fables a fresh, new life! Enjoy writing and starring in your very own present-day fable, complete with exciting new characters and modern morals. Meets Wednesdays from 4pm – 5:30pm.
  • My Many Faces: Create a personalized, hard bound book filled with the many faces of you. Students will explore many types of self portraits from your super hero identity to your animal likeness.  Meets Thursdays from 4pm – 5:30pm.
  • Shadow Puppets: Explore a unique way to tell stories with light, shadow and 2-d puppets. Construct intricate shadow puppets using elaborate paper cutting techniques in order to express your original stories or poems.
    Meets Fridays from 4pm – 5:30pm.

The cost for the 8 week series is just $10. A $10 credit towards a future workshop will be awarded to students with perfect attendance.  That means if you make it to all of the sessions your classes are Free!
