Carnegie Visual & Performing Arts Kids Workshops: $10 for 8 Week Session!

The Carnegie Visual and Performing Arts Center is now taking registrations for the Fall   Scripps Howard Artstop Program.  The 8 week art series meets once a week beginning in September 2011.  They are open to children ages 7-15.

Choose from 3 workshops being offered for the Series:

  • Lights, Camera, ACTION!: Get ready to make movie magic! Experience the many aspects of making a movie including conception, storyboarding, performing, costume, prop and scene designing and filming.  Meets Wednesdays from 4pm – 5:30pm.
  • Mask Mania:  Explore the wonderful world of mask making. Using paper mache, feathers, sequins, raffia, clay and more, students will create a variety of different masks. Meets Thursdays from 4pm – 5:30pm.
  • Pop-Up Art: Create works of art that POP! Students will turn ordinary 2-D drawings and paintings into pop-up cards, books and dioramas. Meets Fridays from 4pm – 5:30pm.

The cost for the 8 week series is just $10.  A $10 credit towards a future workshop will be awarded to students with perfect attendance.

    This is a great program my daughter has done about 4 of them and she loves it!
