Nationwide Coupon and Savings Classes!

I'm so excited to officially announce this project I have been working on with Savings.com. Some of my amazing readers were involved in the planning stages of this too (THANK YOU!). If you want to learn how to save money at the grocery, a grocery savings workshop is coming to a city near you!
Let me give you some back story first.
Well, because we were in debt, wondering how to pay for our son's surgery expenses when I learned how to use coupons in a focused and realistic way. I started the site with the naivety that I *may* just be able to help others by sharing what I knew. Four years later, I believe this site (not me) has helped a few people save more money…and helped us to get out of debt (read our personal finance series here).
Why is teaching so important to me?
Many of you know that I have taught classes in the community since I started the site. I love teaching others this new way of shopping. I know that you can learn a lot through the internet, I have a free coupon ecourse and a virtual coupon workshop people can utilize. But, it's not the same as being in an in-person classroom setting. This is coming from a person who earned her degree online too. Online learning is very different.
I try to put as much on Savings Lifestyle so I can reach people who aren't in this area. I receive requests to teach classes that are a long distance away. Traveling isn't something I am able to do as much of given our boys' schedule. I now have a resource I can send people to find a class in their city!
Introducing Savings Nation!
Savings.com approached me and my Savvy Blogging teammates to help with this initiative. We, along with our Savings.com teammates, have been working furiously to make this a reality. We're so excited to officially announce Savings Nation to everyone today!
What is Savings Nation?
Savings Nation is a community of people who want to save money. Along with the community and awesome tools we are working to provide, a real live person will be teaching a savings workshop near you! These workshops will be taught by some of the savviest consumers out there – the Savings.com DealPros!
What does this mean for you?
We are working with the Savings.com DealPros to get classes scheduled throughout the U.S. We are holding the first 6 classes during March and April. If you are in a nearby city, I would encourage you to attend. And for my local peeps, of course I'm doing one here in Cincy! I will also be at the first 6 classes as well so let me know if you plan on attending so I can finally meet you!!
What's next?
We will be adding new features to the site as a result of the partnership with Savings.com through Savings Nation. I will share those as they are made available. I'm so excited about this project and what it will do to help you save on what you need and spend on what you want…right where you are!
