Drink Water: Save More and Stay Hydrated

The following Best Savings Tip comes from reader, Daria of Mom in Management:

I tallied up how much we spent on soda, Propel, Gatorade, juice, etc.  Even when on sale for $0.88 a bottle – there are 5 people in my house assuming 2 drinks a day – it totals more than $3,200! That doesn't even include beer or wine in the total, just basic beverages.

I try to drink more water than any other beverage. However, I live in a house that consumes soda like they are a fish in water. It's expensive even if you purchase generic! I limit to one a day for the kids but can't really enforce that with hubby (he's a grown man and can do what he wants). If we had to eliminate anything from the budget, the soda would definitely be the first to go!
