Disclosure Policy

This disclaimer will serve the purpose to get a few things out on the *virtual* table.

I started this blog to help people save money. Turns out that is a very popular topic with many companies. Some of these companies like for me to share information with my community of readers. That sharing can come in several forms.

I have lived by these personal values for years – Honesty, Integrity and Candor. My voice and my site is valuable to me for those reasons. Therefore, I will be providing honest opinions on anything and everything I write about.

To be quite honest, writing takes work. Therefore, you will not likely see a review or Product Spotlight that is negative. I don’t have time to write about the many positive topics or products in life, so spending a lot of time writing about something I don’t like is highly unlikely. In any mention of a product or service, I will be sharing product recommendations and my personal experience as experienced by ME.

I advertise for third party ad networks. I also run affiliate programs. These affiliate hyperlinks may be included in various posts. I consult and work with corporations who may compensate me for the services I can provide to and for them. I will and do accept and keep free products, services, travel, event tickets and other forms of compensation.

The various forms of advertisment *pay the bills* so to speak as there are actually costs associated with operating a website. In saying that, I do consider the relevancy of those products, advertisements, links with the content found on Savings Lifestyle, or just my life in general.

For example, I don’t own a dog and it is highly unlikely that I would write about/spotlight anything specific to a dog or associated product. You may, however, see a coupon to help you save on dog food…make sense?? The coupon is relevant to my content, but not relevant to my life.

The views and opinions expressed on Savings Lifestyle belong purely to post authors. Any product claim, statistic, quote or other representation about a product or service should be verified with the manufacturer, provider, or party in question.

I shared an update with regards to the 12/1/2009 FTC Regulations. You can read more on my thoughts and changes I have implemented in this post.

Savings Lifestyle is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to amazon.com, endless.com, smallparts.com or myhabit.com. Hey, I love Amazon.com deals (especially all the FREE shipping and movies for Amazon Prime Members) so why not share the best deals and earn some as well?!
