If you have taken the time to check some of the price tags you may have been in a bit of sticker shock. The price of décor has gone up more and more as decorating the home has become so trendy.

If you are looking to warm your home with fall fashionable home décor but the steep prices are not working with your budget, consider making some of your own fall décor items. There is no need to be a Martha Stewart in order to create this Fall Tissue Paper Mason Jar Luminary. This craft is very inexpensive and perfect for any fall décor. The supplies needed to make this luminary can be found right at your local Dollar Store.

Tissue Paper Mason Jar Luminary Supplies

Tissue Paper Luminary Supplies

  • Mason Jar or Repurpose a Condiment Jar to save
  • Tissue Paper
  • Craft Glue- I used Modge Podge

Tissue Paper Luminary Directions

  1. Cut or tear your tissue paper into squares.
  2. Apply Glue to one side of your Jar. Be sure to spread evenly.
  3. Place tissue paper squares in a random pattern on top of the glue. Be sure to press squares in place firmly and apply any additional needed glue.
  4. Repeat the above steps until you have covered your jar completely.
  5. Add a battery operated votive and ribbon if you wish.

This project is so quick, easy and affordable. If you have a few minutes and a few dollars you will have a fall décor item ready to warm your home. I have placed these on the porch, the windows and in the bathrooms for cotton ball and other toiletry storage.
